In Pics: Janmashtami Celebrations At Khirachora Gopinath Temple In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: Janmashtami is a Hindu festival celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna. According to the Hindu calendar, it falls on Ashtami, which is the eighth day of Krishna Pasha or the waning moon.

The festival is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm across the country. People of Odisha are also celebrating the birth of the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu on Monday.

Khirachora Gopinath Temple

Meanwhile, Janmashtami celebration at the famous Khirachora Gopinath Temple at Remuna in Balasore is underway amid COVID restrictions.

The devotees will be allowed darshan of Lord Krisha in a row. It is mandatory for them to wear a mask. There is a ban on taking any offerings inside the temple premises.
