ITR Espionage Case: Odisha Crime Branch Probe Reveals Conflicting Identities Of Mysterious Woman
Cuttack: The Crime Branch probe into the ITR espionage case has revealed more information about the mysterious woman who used to collect classified defence information from the five arrested employees of the test range.
The Crime Branch said during interrogation, the arrested persons revealed that the woman had come in contact with them in February last year and was giving different identities of her. During the video calls, Facebook chat and message and WhatsApp in Hindi and English, she introduced herself as a defence staff and a staff nurse in a hospital in Chandigarh. Apart from this, she had told that she is a native of Liverpool city in the United Kingdom (UK) to some persons and Rajasthan to others.

The state investigating agency said that the woman had also promised to marry some of the accused.
As the woman used to call the arrested employees from a telephone number of the UK, the Crime Branch said it will seek the assistance of the Central investigating agency to contact the concerned authorities of the UK to ascertain her whereabouts.
