Bhubaneswar-Paris Cultural Desk To Be Set Up Soon
Bhubaneswar: For cultural exchange between Odisha and France, a Bhubaneswar-Paris cultural desk would be set up soon, informed Counsellor for Corporation and Cultural Affairs at the French Embassy and French Institute in India Director Dr Bertrand De Hartingh at a meeting held here on Thursday.
The desk would start functioning simultaneously from Bhubaneswar and Paris, he informed.
The discussion was held in the presence of Odia Language, Literature and Culture Secretary Manoranjan Panigrahi at his office in the State Secretariat.
Dr Hartingh and the Culture Secretary also emphasised on organising workshops, exchange programmes, conventions for promotion of heritage art, culture, dance, music and handicraft of Odisha.
Among others, French Institute in India Cultural Coordinator Alice Brunot, other representatives, Saifali Jaitly Suri and Emilia Carter, State Museum Superintendent Jayanti Rath and Abhilekhagar Superintendent Suchismita Mantry were present.
