Two Arrested In Murder Case Of BJP Worker In Odisha’s Bhadrak
Bhadrak: Police have arrested two persons allegedly involved in the murder of BJP worker Subash Giri in the district.
Following information about the two accused, identified as Jyoti Ranjan Senapati and Priya Ranjan Senapati, Sabarang police conducted a raid on their village Brahmapur under Bhadrak constituency. They have been detained in the police station and the police were interrogating them, sources said.
Subash was allegedly mercilessly beaten to death by some unidentified people and his body was thrown to the village pond. His body was spotted by the villagers on February 1.
Following the incident, the BJP had alleged involvement of BJD workers in the murder of Subash. Demanding arrest of the accused, the BJP had staged demonstration in front of all police stations in the district.
With the prime accused in the murder case still absconding, the BJP has threatened to intensify its agitation, if he is not arrested soon.
