Sharp Drop In Night Temp In Odisha’s Phulbani, Cold Wave To Prevail For 2 Days

Bhubaneswar: With the India Meteorological Department predicting a drop in the minimum temperature by 3 to 5 degree Celsius, the mercury plummeted to 8 degree Celsius in Odisha’s Phulbani on Saturday morning against 14.5 degree Celsius the previous day.

Kirei was the coldest place in the state at 7 degree Celsius.

G Udaygiri recorded 8.6 degree Celsius followed by Daringbadi at 9 degree Celsius and Jharsuguda at 9.6 degree Celsius.

The twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded 15.5 and 15.7 degree Celsius respectively.

According to the MeT office, the temperature dropped at all stations except Nayagarh and Paralakhemundi.

The night temperature will continue to drop by 3 to 5 degree Celsius during the next two days, it said, adding that weather in the state will remain dry for the next few days.

Saturday morning also saw dense fog in Koraput district with the visibility dropping below 200 metres.
