Rain, Thunderstorm To Strike Bhubaneswar, Cuttack In Next 3 Hrs; Check Forecast Till April 19

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Centre of India  Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued rain and thunderstorm alert for in several parts of Odisha for the next three hours (till 7 pm).

The Centre, in a Nowcast message issued Yellow warning for the districts of Dhenkanal, Khurda, Puri and Jagatsinghpur and the cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strike.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and Angul. Thunderstorm with lightning also very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati,Rayagada, Koraput and Nabarangpur.

Between 8.30 am of April 15 and April 16

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam,Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.

Between 8.30 am of April 16 and April 17

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, , Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.

Between 8.30 am of April 17 and April 18

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Gajapati and Mayurbhanj.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Koraput, Kandhamal,
