Mumbai: To mark the completion of 30 years in the Hindi film industry, Shah Rukh Khan unveiled a new look in upcoming film ‘Pathaan’ and took to social media to thank his fans for their unwavering love and support.
He also did an Instagram Live session for the first time, where he talked about ‘Pathaan’. The eagerly-awaited film, which also stars Deepike Padukone and John Abraham, is scheduled to release on January 25, 2023. Fans are curious to know when the trailer will be released.
“Well even I am excited about Pathaan’s trailer… it is likely to come out sometime in November or December. But I am not sure as the team is currently working very hard to complete the film,” said Shah Rukh, whose last released film was ‘Zero’ in December 2018.
Hoping that his fans will like Pathaan, Shah Rukh joked about making a sequel of the action thriller.
“I hope you guys like the film, we all have worked and are working really hard on it. If you guys love Pathaan, there will be Pathaan 2 too, perhaps,” he said.

Shah Rukh has featured in more than 80 films since making his Bollywood debut in 1992 with ‘Deewana’. But this is the first time that he will get to play a ‘cool action hero’.
“I haven’t watched Pathaan yet, as the makers Siddharth Anand and Aditya Chopra are kanjus like that. But I want to mention that Pathaan is an action film and I enjoyed working with these great people and actors, such as Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and Ashutosh Rana. There are many reasons to do Pathaan, but one is that I always wanted to do some cool action and I hope with Pathaan I will achieve this dream of mine,” Shah Rukh confessed during the Insta Live session.
SRK picked what he loves the most about his look in the film.
“When it comes to my look in Pathaan, I love my long hair the most in the film. However, the only issue with the hairstyle is that in the film I and Deepika started looking the same. So, for the first time in my career, I had to discuss my hairstyle with my team.”
