Active COVID Cases Drop Below 3K In Odisha, 2 More Fatalities From Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported less than 300 new COVID cases for the second consecutive on Wednesday with 280 people testing positive in the last 24 hours. The active tally also dropped below 3000 to touch 2,981.
According to the I & PR department, 165 of the new cases are from quarantine and 115 local contacts. Among them, 40 are in the age group of 0-18 years.

Besides, 14 are from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 16,171 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 1.73%.
The state also confirmed two more deaths due to COVID after the audit process in the last 24 hours, taking the toll in the fourth wave to 28.
The Health Department identified the deceased as a 73-years-old woman, who was also suffering from chronic kidney disease, chronic liver disease, right mild pleural effusion, uremia and diabetes mellitus and a 68-years-old man, who was also suffering from chronic kidney disease and hypertension. Both the deceased were residents of Bhubaneswar.
