Odisha Reports Marginal Drop In New COVID Cases

Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded a marginal drop in COVID infections on Sunday with 257 positive cases reported in the last 24 hours. The active tally in the state continued to remain below the 2,000 mark at 1,980.

The state reported 289 cases on Saturday.

According to the I & PR department, 151 new cases are from quarantine and 106 local contacts. Among them, 43 are in the age group of 0-18 years.

24. Sundargarh: 56

Besides, seven are from the state pool.

With these cases being detected from 14,389 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 1.78 % against 1.58 % the previous day.
