Mercury To Hover Around 38°C In Bhubaneswar For One Week; Dense Fog Alert For 7 Districts
Bhubaneswar: While the mercury will continue to hover around 37-38 degree Celsius in Odisha capital for the next one week, a thick blanket of fog is likely to engulf seven districts of the state during the next two days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Wednesday.
The weatherman has issued a yellow warning (dense fog) for one or two places in Cuttack, Khurda, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, and Bhadrak between 8.30 am on Thursday and 8.30 am on Friday. Shallow to moderate fog is also in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and Khurda during this period.
Cuttack, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Angul and Dhenkanal may experience dense fog in the subsequent 24 hours. There is also a forecast for shallow to moderate fog in Ganjam, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh and Kendrapada.
Shallow to moderate fog is also likely at one or two places over the districts of Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jajpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj till 8.30 am on Thursday, it added.
The MeT office further said that there will be no large change in night temperature) across Odisha during the next 5 days.
Notably, Bhubaneswar recorded 38 degree Celsius, the highest in the state and for February, on Tuesday.
