Now, Manish Sisodia Arrested By Enforcement Directorate

New Delhi: Already in jail, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia was on Thursday arrested by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Delhi liquor policy scam.

Sisodia, the former Delhi deputy CM, was arrested by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) 12 days ago in the same case.

ED questioned Sisodia for about 5 hours in Tihar jail earlier today before arresting him.

Sisodia was arrested under sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 477A (intent to defraud) of IPC and Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act.

Sisodia was remanded to CBI custody till March 4 by Rouse Avenue Court, which then sent him to judicial custody till March 20.

The court is scheduled to hear bail petition on Friday.

“Manish was first arrested by the CBI. CBI did not find any evidence, no money was found in the raid. There is a bail hearing tomorrow. Manish would have been released tomorrow. So today ED arrested him. They have only one aim — to keep Manish inside at all costs. By creating new fake cases everyday. The public is watching. Public will answer,” claimed AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi CM.
