Indian GP 1: Odisha’s Kishore Jena Bags Gold, Amiya Mallick Wins Silver

Trivandrum: Odisha athletes made their presence felt in the Indian Grand Prix 1 (IGP1) meet at the LNCPE ground here on Monday.

Kishore Kumar Jena struck gold in men’s javelin with an effort of 81.05 metres, beating off the challenge of Karnataka’s Manu DP ((80.61m) and Punjab’s Arshdeep Singh (75.67m).

In men’s 100m, Amiya Mallick bagged silver. The Odisha sprinter clocked 10.69 seconds to finish a close second behind Hassan Saaid of Maldives (10.67s). Delhi’s Amit Tiwari (10.90s) finish third.
