Another Attack At BJB College In Bhubaneswar: 3 Students Critical, 5 Detained
Bhubaneswar: Three students of Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (BJB) Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar were critically injured after being allegedly attacked by some outsiders following an argument over playing cricket on the campus playground on Saturday.
According to sources, all the attackers are non-students who entered into an argument with the students over playing cricket on the college field located under the jurisdiction of Badagada police station. Five persons have so far been detained in this connection.
Following the attack, the three injured students were shifted to a hospital for treatment.
The students were playing cricket on the college field in the morning when the miscreants came and asked them to leave. A heated exchange ensued following which the three students were chased and stabbed by the miscreants.
This is the second such incident in a week after an integrated MBA student of the college was attacked with a sharp object by miscreants.
The incident comes close on the heels of three students of Maharishi College in the state capital being injured in attack by some non-students on Monday. A group of outsiders barged into the college campus and attacked the students leaving them injured.
