Balasore: An Odia YouTuber is among six persons who have been arrested by the police in connection with a firing incident in Odisha’s Balasore district.
Industrial Area Police also seized two pistols, two motorcycles and seven mobile phones from the arrested persons.
Prime accused, identified as Udit Nayak, runs a YouTube channel namely ‘Untalented Guy’, police said, adding that he used to post roasting videos on his channel.
There was a verbal duel on Wednesday evening between the YouTuber and some people over his videow. The quarrel took an ugly turn when Udit allegedly opened fire, causing injuries to two persons, and fled from the spot, they said.
A complaint was later filed at the police station, basing on which the police registered a case and launched a probe.
A special team was formed to nab the accused six persons, including the prime accused, were arrested on Sunday and forwarded to court. The police also asked the YouTube officials to remove the videos, according to Balasore SP Sagarika Nath.
Efforts are on to nab others in connection with the case.
