Bhubaneswar: Having produced and directed a fictional television series “Horror Zone” for Tarang Channel, Anupam Patnaik is not new to the horror genre. And now, he is ready with ‘Dahaan’, a full-length feature film, which is all set to be a milestone in Odia horror movies. Releasing in October, the movie introduces Aurosikha Mishra, Sijan Mahapatra, and Nishant Majithia, while Choudhury Jay Prakash Das, Paratha Sarthi Ray, Barsha Patnaik, Pranab Rath play key roles.
The haunting music has been composed Ashis Pradhan, Shakti Swaroop Dwibedy has done the sound design, Tukna Chandra Sekhar Sharma the sync sound, Rashmi Ranjan Dass is the editor of the film, while Deepak Kumar is the cinematographer.
Earlier, Patnaik also produced Panic Shorts, Odisha’s first Horror Web Series, followed by Saheb Biwi Sala, Odisha’s most-viewed web series. Recently, he directed his first feature film ‘Pratikshya’, based on a short story by Gourahari Das.
He has also produced and directed two short films ‘Ichha-A Silent Urge’ and ‘Smruti – Memories’. He is also the producer of Odisha’s first-ever biopic, on eminent social activist Padmashri Tulasi Munda, which won accolades at various film festivals across the globe.
Notably, Anupam is the scion of Amiya Patnaik Productions, a known name in the Odisha television and film industry.
