Fact Check: Is ‘Jawan’ Shah Rukh Khan’s Most Expensive Film?
Mumbai: The countdown to ‘Jawan’ has begun.
Three weeks from now, Shah Rukh Khan’s second film of the year will hit the big screen.
Will ‘Jawan’ be able to surpass the stupendous success of Sidharth Anand-directed ‘Pathaan’?
Well, the Atlee-helmed upcoming movie — with an ensemble star cast of Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra and others – has already left ‘Pathan’ behind on one count.
‘Jawan’ has reportedly been mounted on a massive budget of Rs 300 crore! That’s Rs 50 crore more than what ‘Pathaan’ cost its producers.
The dance number ‘Zinda Banda’, which was unveiled by the makers on July 31, itself reportedly cost a whopping Rs 15 crore!
The track, composed by Anirudh and choreographed by Shobi, was shot on a grand scale in Chennai over a span of five days, with over 1,000 female dancers from Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Madurai and Mumbai featuring in the song with Shah Rukh.
