Chief Secy Reviews Preparations For President’s Visits To Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena reviewed the preparation for the visit of President Droupadi Murmu to the state at a high-level meeting on Wednesday.

Since the President will visit Odisha twice this month, the Chief Secretary emphasised on flawless arrangements at all the programmes in different places.

In her first schedule for 3 days from November 20 to 22, the President will visit Mayurbhanj, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur districts to attend various programmes. She will come for second time on November 26 afternoon to attend the Boita Bandana festival in Paradip on November 27.

The chief secretary directed the collectors and departmental officials to supervise all preparations in the districts to be visited by the President. Santosh Bala, Special Secretary, Home Department gave detailed information regarding the visit of the President.

Different aspects of the President’s visit including accommodation, security, movement of carcade, barricades on the roads, food, road maintenance, medical care, sanitation, stage preparation, seating arrangements of audience etc were discussed in the meeting.

Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department DK Singh, DG Police Sunil Kumar Bansal, Commissioner of Police Saumendra Priyadarshi, Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh, Principal Secretaries of different departments and officials in charge of security were present.
