Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA from Begunia Rajendra Kumar Sahoo had landed in trouble following allegations of furnishing fake documents to contest elections.
According to sources, Upendra Kumar Routray has moved the Khurda SJDM Court, alleging discrepancies in various documents submitted by the legislator for contesting assembly election. “A case was filed since the MLA has committed a fraud by furnishing different matriculation certificates, PAN cards and Voter IDs for contesting poll and availing loan from bank. Information like date of birth varies in the documents,” the petitioner’s advocate said.
