Amrit Bharat Express Reaches Bhubaneswar Station; Know Stoppages In Odisha & Fare
Bhubaneswar: A day after being flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Malda Town-Bengaluru Amrit Bharat Express reached Bhubaneswar station on Sunday morning.
Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, Rajya Sabha members Sulata Deo and Munna Khan and a host of dignitaries were present to welcome the train at the station.
The Prime Minister had on Saturday flagged off two Amrit Bharat Express trains at Ayodhya Railway Junction ahead of the consecration of Ram Temple in town scheduled on January 22. Of two trains, one will run between Malda Town and SMVT in Bengaluru via Kharagpur, Balasore and Brahmapur.
The train will connect the states of West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. The train with all non-AC coaches will run regularly from January 7.
As per reports, the Amrit Bharat Express train has 22 coaches, of these two are reserved for Railway guards. Of the remaining 20 passenger coaches, 8 coaches are second class unreserved with all advanced facilities including CCTV and well-furnished seats. The remaining 12 coaches are sleeper class reserved for passengers.
The train with 130 kmph speed will have stoppages at Jaleswar, Balasore, Soro, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road and Brahmapur railway stations in Odisha.
While the train fare from Bhubaneswar to Bengaluru has been fixed at Rs 432 per passenger for general compartment, the fare is Rs 782 per ticket for travel in sleeper class reserved coach.
