Mumbai: Bollywood’s Dream Girl and current BJP Member of Parliament Hema Malini will be the chief guest at the launch of Gulzar’s authorised biography here on Tuesday evening.
‘Gulzar Saab: Hazara Rahein Mud Ke Dekhin…’ has been written by National Award-winning author Yatindra Mishra and published by Vani Prakashan Group.
The launch programme of the legendary filmmaker, lyricist and poet’s biography will also be attended by Sahitya Akademi award-winning writer and poet Sheen Kaaf Nizam as special guest, while film director, music director and storyteller Vishal Bhardwaj will be the honourable speaker, reported ANI.
The book is based on Swarna Kamal awardee, poet, writer and music scholar Yatindra’s interactions with Gulzar over a period of 15 years.
“Gulzar Saab: Hazara Rahein Mud Ke Dekhin… will open alleys of learnings and stories about the master craftsman. Yatindra has done commendable work in delicately compiling his interactions with the legend,” said Publisher Arun Maheshwari, adding that it will be a collector’s item.
A critical biography, the book analyses Gulzar’s films, poems, songs and screenplay as well as his much-loved dialogues.
