Odisha To Experience 2-4°C Dip In Night Temp After 24 Hours; Dense Fog Alert For 17 Dists

Bhubaneswar: The night temperature at many places in Odisha is likely to drop by 2-4 degree Celsius after 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Thursday.

The state has been witnessing a continuous rise in the mercury level for the past few days amid an abatement of cold wave conditions and the night temperature was 4-8 degrees above normal at nine places, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, during the last 24 hours.

The weather agency has also issued yellow warning of dense fog for one or two places in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Balangir, and Nabarangpur till 8.30 am on Friday. Shallow to moderate fog may also occur at a few places in South Interior Odisha and at one or two places in remaining districts of the state.

Shallow to moderate fog will continue at one or two places across the state during the next 24 hours, it added.
