Assembly & LS Polls In Odisha In 4 Phases From May 13; Check Details
New Delhi: Voting for the 147-member Odisha assembly will be held in four phases from May 13 simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on Saturday.
As per the announcement, voters will cast their votes on four dates, May 13, 20, 25, and June 1 for 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly seats in the state. The counting of the votes will take place on June 4, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar.
The term of the current assembly will expire in June, 2024.
Issue of notification: April 18, April 26, April 29, May 7
Last date of nomination: April 25, May 3, May 6, May 14
Scrutiny of nomination: April 26, May 4, May 7, May 15
Last date of withdrawal of candidature: April 29, May 6, May 9, May 17
Date of poll: May 13, May 20, May 25, June 1
In the first phase, the voting will be conducted for 28 assembly constituencies on May 13, 2024.
In the second phase, the voting will be conducted for 35 assembly constituencies on May 20, 2024.
The third phase voting for 42 assembly segments will be held on May 25, while polling for the remaining 24 assembly seats in the last and fourth phase will be held on June 1, 2024.
