BJP Celebrates Foundation Day With Pledge To Restore Odisha’s Past Glory
Bhubaneswar: Odisha unit of BJP on Saturday said it would continue its efforts to restore the state’s historical place of pride in the world map.
Speaking at the 45th foundation day of the BJP at a function in its headquarters in Bhubaneswar, the party’s state president Manmohan Samal said they would work for promotion of Odia language, culture, traditions, arts and architecture to bring back the golden days of the glorious past.
Stating that the BJP was committed to economic development of the poor section of the society, Samal said the party was also focusing on ensuring a better future for women, youths, students and armers. The party would make best utilisation of Odisha’s rich mineral resources, long coastline and tourist destinations for economic development, he added.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will work unitedly to build a strong and self-dependent India in future. The party has been working in this regard with the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Biswas, Sabka Biswas, Sabka Prayas,” Samal said.
Odisha in-charge of BJP Vijaypal Singh, his assistant Lata Usendi, state secretary Manas Mohanty and other senior leaders offered floral tributes to the founder of the party Shyamaprasad Mukherjee and Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay on the occasion.
