Bhubaneswar: Odisha will continue to reel under intense heatwave conditions till April 30, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Friday.

The weather agency has issued red warning for 5 days. “The day temperature may gradually rise by 2°C to 3°C at many places in the state during the next 3 days due to prevailing northwesterly/westerly dry air and high solar insolation. Consequently, mercury levels will remain 4 to 6°C above normal in some districts during the next 4 to 5 days. People are advised to take precautionary measure while going outside during peak hours of the day time between 11 am and 3 pm,” according to the midday bulletin.
