Odisha: IMFA Bags 2 Awards For Export Excellence By EEPC India
Bhubaneswar: Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA) has been honoured with the prestigious EEPC India Eastern Region Award for Export Excellence in the large enterprise category for the fiscal years 2019-20 and 2020-21.
The awards were presented at the 38th and 39th editions award ceremony recently held in Kolkata, the company said in a press release on Tuesday.
Organised by the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) of India, the award celebrates organisations that have demonstrated exceptional export performance and significantly contributed to India’s engineering export industry. IMFA’s consistent commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction has been instrumental in securing this esteemed recognition.
West Bengal Industry, Commerce and Enterprises Minister Shashi Panja, who was the chief guest, presented the award to IMFA in recognition of its exceptional performance in during the two fiscal years.
This achievement is particularly noteworthy given the challenges posed by the pandemic. With more than 90% of its total production being exported, IMFA maintains a strong export focus and has a long-term customer base in Southeast Asian markets including Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.
The company was honoured among five award categories – large, medium, small, micro, and merchant – for its significant contribution to India’s engineering export sector.
The Ministry of Commerce & Industry sponsors EEPC India, which is the trade and investment promotion organization for the engineering sector. EEPC India was founded in 1955 and currently has over 12,000 members, 60% of which are small and medium-sized enterprises. It arranges yearly awards to honour Indian companies that excel in engineering and manufacturing. It serves as a liaison between the Indian government and the engineering sector and actively contributes to policy decisions as an advisory body.
