Odisha Vigilance Arrests CHSE Record Supplier For Disproportionate Assets
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Thursday arrested Record Supplier of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Bhubaneswar, Purendra Kumar Sethy for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to a Vigilance release, he was found in possession of a multi-storey building in Bhubaneswar, deposits to the tune of Rs 16.77 lakh, Rs 1.70 lakh in cash, household articles worth around Rs 5 lakh and two four-wheelers, which he could not account for satisfactorily. Sixteen benami RORs (land pattas of different sizes of plots) were recovered during the simultaneous searches at 3 places in Bhubaneswar and Jagatsinghpur, on Wednesday and these are under verification.
“He will be forwarded to the court today,” it added.
