Man Arrested For Threatening Salman Khan, Demanding Rs 10 Cr Posing As Anmol Bishnoi
Mumbai: In a joint operation by Noida and Mumbai police, a man was arrested for allegedly threatening actor Salman Khan and demanding Rs 10 crore, posing as jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol, police said, according to reports. The accused had also threatened Zeeshan Siddique, the son of slain leader Baba Siddique, reports claimed. Earlier, Baba Siddique was shot dead and the Bishnoi gang had claimed its responsibility in a purported social media post.
The accused, Taib Ansari, reportedly told the police that he made the threat call on a Mumbai Police helpline number that he had picked from the internet.
Ansari, a native of Bareilly district in UP, was arrested on Monday night from an under-construction house in Noida, reports claimed. He was working as a carpenter there, police added.
Earlier, Mumbai’s Bandra Police had contacted Noida Police late Monday night and informed that Anmol Bishnoi had threatened Salman Khan, and the phone’s location was traced to Noida, reported PTI.
Mumbai police would take Ansari to Maharashtra on ‘transit remand.’
‘If anything happens to Salman…..’: Fan’s warning to Lawrence Bishnoi
Meanwhile, an UP man had issued a warning to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He threatened Bishnoi of dire repercussions “if anything happens to Salman bhai.”
The man posted a video on social media and said, “Sun Lawrence Bishnoi… 2,000 shooter tere pass tayyar hain toh, 5,000 shooter maine bhi bombay mein bhej rakhein hain. Salman Bhai ko kuch hua to theek nahin hoga Lawrence” (“Listen Lawrence Bishnoi…you have 2000 shooters ready and I have also sent 5000 shooters to Bombay. If something happens to Salman bhai, it will not be good Lawrence”)
According to reports, the man belongs to Deepemau Sohawal village in the Lalganj police station area of Raebareli. Police said the man, a labourer by profession, had returned from Mumbai to UP recently and admitted that he was intoxicated while recording the threat video.
