‘Singham Again’ & ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ Banned In Saudi Arabia; Know Why

Mumbai: Fans in India are counting the hours for the release of the third instalment of blockbuster moviesSingham Again’ and Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ in theatres on November 1.

Bollywood movie lovers buffs in Saudi Arabia, however, won’t be as lucky since the two movies have been banned in the Gulf country.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Saudi has banned Ajay Devgn-starrer multi-cop flick ‘Singham Again’ due to content containing ‘religious conflicts.’

Kartik’s horror comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, on the other hand, is banned due to ‘homosexual references’ as per the report.

Days ahead of its release, Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’ had to modify a few dialogues and scenes in the movie on the advice of censor board.

“At two places, the Examining Committee asked the makers to suitably modify the 23-second-long ‘match cut’ visuals depictions of Lord Rama, Sita Mata and Lord Hanuman with that of Singham, Avni and Simmba respectively. Similarly, a 23-second-long visual of ‘Singham with Shri Ram, touching feet’ was ‘suitably modified,” the report stated.

“It is also said that the Censor Board asked director Shetty to remove a 16-second visual of Raavan ‘grabbing, pulling and pushing Sita’. They also ordered that a 29-second scene of ‘Hanuman burning and dialogue of Simmba flirting’ should be deleted. They also asked the team to remove a 26-second dialogue and visuals as they feel it affected international diplomatic relations of India with neighbouring state,” added the report.

As for objection to ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, that Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan will be seen playing a couple, thereby hinting at a homosexual relationship, according to a report in Live Mint.
