Mumbai: Celebrity couple Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding is one of the most talked-about events in the film industry.
Chaitanya, who will be tying the knot for the second time, is both ‘excited and nervous’ ahead of their December 4 wedding.
“It’s going to be an elaborate and lavish wedding in terms of the rituals that we are going to follow. Sobhita’s family has taken a keen interest in this, and I’m totally looking forward to the experience. It’s a very intimate guest list with only immediate family and friends,” groom-to-be Chaitanya told Zoom,
“The wedding is happening in Annapurna Studios, a very special and sentimental venue for the family, which makes it even more important that all the arrangements flow well and are memorable for everyone. All in all, there is a lot of excitement and healthy nervousness in me,” said Nagarjuna’s elder son.
“It’s been lovely getting to know Sobhita and her family; the past few months, watching the families interact, has been a joy. I am really looking forward to and excited for the wedding day, going through all the rituals and watching the families come together,” he added.
Talking about his first meeting with Sobhita, Chaitanya said, “I was in Mumbai for the launch of my OTT show; during that time, she did have a show with the same platform as well. The event hosted by the OTT platform was where we first interacted.”
The actor also shared that his would-be wife Sobhita is a family girl and they share a strong bond with each other. Sobhita’s family treats him like a son and both the families are quite comfortable when they come together for festivals and other celebrations.
His dad Nagarjuna is more excited about the wedding than him. “I see so much excitement in dad every time there is a family gathering; he has been involved with the wedding planning from the scratch. It gives me so much joy to see him like this,” Chaitanya said.
The actor dismissed rumours of selling the rights of their wedding film to Netflix.
Nagarjuna will be seen in ‘Thandel’, which is schedule to release on February 7, 2025.
