Delhi Elections: Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ Inspires BJP Vs AAP Poster War

New Delhi: The Delhi Assembly election has not yet been notified by the Election Commission of (ECI).

However, principal rivals Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are already gearing up for battle, knowing that polling dates will be announced any day as the election will have to be completed by February 2025.

The ruling AAP, which has released two lists of candidates, and BJP have been going hammer and tongs at each other, at times through innovative ways.

At a time when ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is driving India’s movie lovers crazy, it’s only apt that Allu Arjun’s blockbuster movie is serving as an inspiration to the political parties which are trying to get their message across to voters with unique posters using cult dialogues from the movie.

AAP issued a poster on Saturday with the lines ‘Kejriwal Jhukega Nahi’, based on Allu’s famous line, in bold letters.

Kejriwal is seen posing as the protagonist, carrying the party’s symbol ‘jhaadu’ (broom) on his shoulder. “4th Term Coming Soon” reads the poster, referring to AAP’s electoral successes in the 2013, 2015 and 2020 Delhi Assembly polls.

On Monday, the BJP hit back with its ‘Pushpa 2’ version poster. It shows Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva posing as Pushpa on a throne with “Bhrashtachariyon Ko Khatam Karenge” (will finish the corrupt) written in bold.

AAP routed the BJP in 2020, winning 62 seats in the 70-member Assembly.

The BJP is leaving no stone unturned to unseat Arvind Kejriwal’s party from the national Capital.
