New Delhi: “More is yet to come,” former Indian Army chief Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane (Retd), has hinted after Operation Sindoor.

Early on Wednesday, Indian Armed Forces carried out a lethal strike against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), destroying nine sites. The high precision strikes did not target any military establishment.

“Abhi picture baki hai…” Gen Naravane he posted on X, which roughly translates to “There is more to come yet…”.

The post by Manoj Naravane, who was India’s 28th Indian Army Chief, indicates that India’s action on Pakistan is only a glimpse of what is about to come.
The Indian armed forces executed Operation Sindoor hours ahead of planned security drills across India.

The attacks were in response to the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam that killed 26 people, mostly tourists on April 22. The Pahalgam terror attack was the deadliest on civilians since the 26/11 Mumbai Attacks of 2008.

Shortly after the confirmation of military strikes in Pakistan, Indian Army said in a post on X “Justice is served. Jai Hind!”.

Former Indian captain of the women’s cricket team Jhulan Goswami also took to X and posted: “Precision. Purpose. Power. That’s how India answers.”

While Indians are in a celebratory mood, experts have warned that Pakistan may retaliate, both militarily and through further terror strikes. These attacks may not be limited to Jammu and Kashmir alone.

Security agencies have warned of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) being placed at crowded locations like railway stations and bus depots by sleeper cells that have been activated across the country. Warnings have already started being issued against handling any abandoned object.
