Bhubaneswar: The BJP-led government in Odisha will reach out to around 1 crore families in the state with its performance report on completing one year in office on June 12.
This will be part of a series of programmes to highlight its achievements.
“The government sees this not as a celebration but as a chance to showcase its accountability to voters. Like students showing their report card to parents after exams, we will inform voters about our achievements in the past year,” Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari told the media on Friday.
He further noted that 11 of the 21 manifesto promises, including input subsidy of Rs 800 per quintal of paddy, Subhadra Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana, have been fulfilled within the first year, with efforts underway to complete the remaining 10 within the next year. “Beyond our manifesto commitments, we will continue to seek public feedback to make governance more participatory,” he said.
He added that the chief minister’s office is coordinating with the Prime Minister’s Office and the Union Home Minister’s office to invite PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other central leaders to the anniversary events.
The week-long activities from June 12 to 18 to mark the occasion will include public engagement initiatives organised by the government and BJP at state, district, block, and panchayat levels, sources said.
