Bhubaneswar: As a tribute to eminent painter-author-art historian-visionary Dinanath Pathy on his first death anniversary, a painting exhibition ‘Chitrangi’, a retrospective, is being held at Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi here.
Inaugurating the exhibition on Tuesday, Governor S C Jamir said, “Art is the medium through which one can go beyond culture, tradition and education to express personal experience and perspective.
As many as 34 painting made by Pathy- nature’s beauty, village culture, mountains, river, animal, bird – are on display.
On this occasion, a digital compilation of Pathy’s write-ups ‘Srujanika’, a documentary on his life made by Umesh Nayak and a website developed by Third Eye Communication were also unveiled.
Among others, Culture Minister Ashok Panda, Director of Sutra Foundation, Kuala Lampur, Ramli Ibrahim and Director General, National Modern Art Gallery, Adwaita Gadanayak graced the occasion. The exhibition being organised by city-based Ila Panda Centre for Arts is on till September 3.
