Mumbai: After three years of being happily married to Ranbir Kapoor, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt seems to have changed her surname to ‘Kapoor’.
A still from her latest vlog shows Alia standing in front of a welcome message written on a glass in front of her hotel.
The hotel addressed her as ‘Dear Alia Kapoor’, thereby sparking speculation over the actress’ changed surname.
Internet was soon flooded with comments over Alia’s surname.
One person wrote, “But she’s always been Alia Bhatt to me, naam mein wajan aagaya hai abhi. It’s a brand name now.”
Another commented, “Ok, so obviously it’s her choice to keep whatever last name she likes, buttt I really think Alia Bhatt has more ring to it. Alia Kapoor just sounds so basic. I think there must be an Alia Kapoor in every block of South Delhi. I hope she never changes this publicly at least.”

Earlier, in a conversation with Mid-Day, Alia had shared that while she would love to change her surname officially to ‘Alia Bhatt-Kapoor’ on documents, her screen name will always remain Alia Bhatt.
“I am happy to do it. We are going to have a child now. I don’t want to be the Bhatt, whilst the Kapoors are travelling together; you know what I mean? I don’t want to feel left out,” Alia had said.
