Hyderabad: The honeymoon murder case of Raja Raghuvanshi in Megalaya, which shocked the country, is still fresh in everyone’s minds.
A similar case has come to light in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool, where a man was found dead a month after his marriage. His family has alleged that his wife was in an extramarital affair.
The 32-year-old Tejeswar, who got married last month, went missing on June 17. His body was recently found in a canal, reported NDTV. His wife and mother-in-law are being interrogated by police.
Tejeswar used to work as a private land surveyor and was also a dance teacher. His wife Ishwarya has been accused of being involved with another man and plotting his husband’s murder.
According to Tejeswar’s family, Ishwarya was in a relationship with an employee of a bank, where her mother Sujatha worked. She was also seeing Tejeswar, and the duo had agreed to marry.
The wedding, originally scheduled for February, was delayed as Ishwarya disappeared, the report said. When she resurfaced after some time, Isharwya declared her love for Tejeswar, and the duo tied the knot in May.
After Tejeswar was untraceable about a week ago, his brother Tejavardhan filed a missing person complaint with police.
Cops and investigators used mobile location tracking to find his body on Saturday, near a canal.
The mortal remains of Tejeswar were handed over to police for post-mortem, as part of investigation.
Tejavardhan alleged that Ishwarya and her other ‘lover’ conspired together to kill Tejeswar.
The lured Tejeswar under the pretext of a land survey assignment and murdered him with the help of close associates, Tejavardhan has claimed.
A car, believed to be linked to the crime, has been identified, and its driver and owner are being questioned. However, police have not yet confirmed the theory of Ishwarya and her lover conspiring to kill Tejeswar.
