Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Tuesday congratulated Ashok Dandasena and Susmita Tigga from Odisha for securing gold and silver medals in the men and women categories of the 800m event at the World Police & Fire Games 2025 at Birmingham in the US.
The CM termed their success as a matter of pride for the state and country. He also wished them continued progress and a bright future.
Dandasena and Tigga are constables with Odisha Police.
Odisha Police in a post on X, described Tigga’s achievement as a ‘Silver Spark’. “Her determination and spirit are an inspiration to every woman in uniform!” it added.
Another post described Dandasena’s achievement as ‘Golden Glory for Odisha Police’. “His speed, strength, and dedication have made the entire nation proud. A true champion in uniform!” it added.
