Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has effected a reshuffle at medical colleges and hospitals (MCHs) with appointments and transfers of nine senior doctors.
Suchitra Das, superintendent of MKCG MCH, Berhampur, has been appointed dean and principal of the same institution. There was no regular appointee to these posts since May 2024 after Dr Santosh Kumar Mishra was appointed as director of medical education and training (DMET).
Durga Madhab Satapathy, a community medicine professor at MKCG MCH, will replace Das as superintendent of MKCG MCH.
Harekrishna Dalai, an anaesthesiology professor at MKCG MCH, has been transferred to SLN MCH, Koraput, and posted as its dean and principal. Geeta Sahu, a forensic medicine and toxicology (FMT) professor at SCB MCH, Cuttack, has been appointed dean and principal of GMCH, Sundargarh, replacing Subhra Ghosh, whose prior appointment has been revoked.
Nirmal Chandra Sahani, superintendent of Fakir Mohan MCH, Balasore, has been reassigned the responsibility at GMCH, Sundargarh, replacing Sarada Prasanna Swain, whose appointment has also been cancelled.
Braja Kishore Dash, additional DMET, has been appointed FMT professor at PRM MCH, Baripada. Bararuchi Das from FM MCH, Balasore, has been transferred to Bhima Bhoi MCH, Balangir, and posted as its superintendent.
