Hyderabad: Atheist Krishna, a popular content creator from Odisha, passed away due to complications from pneumonia on Wednesday.
An X user @nainaverse said that Krishna had been keeping unwell and was to undergo a surgery, but contracted pneumonia, which worsened his condition. He had then said that It would be a miracle if he survived. She also shared a WhatsApp chat in which his brother confirmed that Krishna died at 4:30 am on July 23.
Krishna’s last post on X, in which he had 4.3 lakh followers, was on July 8.
A native of undivided Koraput district, he was based in Hyderabad. Krishna was known for his wit, humorous memes and heartwarming photoshop edits. He had won praises from Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar for his ‘clean and honest humour’, who in a video message also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a hearty laugh when he showed him his memes.

PM Modi, who follows him on X, later reposted the spoof video created by Krishna in which the former can be seen dancing on stage before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. “Like all of you, I also enjoyed seeing myself dance. Such creativity in peak poll season is truly a delight! #PollHumour,” the PM wrote while reposting the tweet in which Krishna had written: “Posting this video cuz I know that ‘THE DICTATOR’ is not going to get me arrested for this.”

Krishna was also known for his emotional restorations of old, tattered photographs, which brought smiles to people’s faces.
Friends from the X community have mourned his death, sharing memories and tributes to his digital artistry and fearless voice. Actor Rupali Ganguly described Krishna as a “master of visual satire”. “The timeline feels emptier today!@Atheist_Krishna wasn’t just a master of visual satire, he was emotion wrapped in sarcasm and humour. His Photoshop jokes made us smile and laugh, but his silence today leaves a void. You’ll be missed, Krishna. Om Shanti,” she wrote on X.
