Jagatsinghpur: A former Sarpanch was killed in road mishap at Tarajanga in Jagatsinghpur district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Ramakant Routray.

According to sources, he was hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road and died on the spot.
Demanding compensation, the irate locals blocked the Cuttack-Paradip Road.
Vehicular traffic remained stranded on the road following the agitation. The locals demanded compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the breaved family.
On being informed, police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
