Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday unearthed a multi-storey building, two flats and as many commercial outlets at Utkal Kanika Galleria and Symphony malls in Bhubaneswar, 13 high-value plots after raiding Assistant Engineer of R&B Division-III assistant engineer Raj Kishore Jena.
The simultaneous searches are underway at 10 places in Bhubaneswar and Nayagarh following allegations that the assistant engineer has accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to a Vigilance release, Jena is staying at his triple-storeyed building at Niladri Vihar here.
Other assets detected in the names of the assistant engineer and his family members are as follows:
1) A flat over 1800 sqft area on the 8th floor of Cosmopolis in Bhubaneswar.
2) Another flat vide over 650 sqft area on the 16th floor of Tower H Cosmopolis in Bhubaneswar.
3) One shop over 400 sqft area on the ground floor of Utkal Kanika Galleria Mall (Nykaa Luxe Showroom) in Bhubaneswar.
4) Another shop at Symphony Mall, Rudrapur, Pahala, Bhubaneswar.
5) 13 high-value plots – 9 in Bhubaneswar, 3 in Nayagarh & 1 in Khurda.
The Vigilance Technical Wing is currently conducting detailed measurements and valuation of the identified properties and assets. Bank deposits, other financial investments, and deposits are being ascertained, the release added.
