Dhenkanal: A man was trampled to death by a wild elephant at Nathua village under Sadar police limits in Dhenkanal district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Rishi Barik.
According to local residents, the tusker entered the human habitations and attacked Barik, who had gone to a nearby field to attend nature’s call.
The villagers demanded immediate steps to check elephant menace in the area.
