Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for nine districts of Odisha till 4.15 pm on Saturday.
Moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm/lightning and wind speed 30-40kmph may occur at a few places in the districts of Balasore, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Puri and Sundargarh in the next 3 hours.

According to IMD’s bulletin, heavy rainfall may resume in Odisha on August 31 and continue till September 3 under the influence of a monsoon trough, passing through Bikaner, Guna, Pendra Road, Bhubaneswar and eastsoutheastwards to central Bay of Bengal.
