Bhubaneswar: Severe thunderstorm coupled with heavy rain, lightning and gusty wind is likely to hit Khurda district, including Bhubaneswar city, on Wednesday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
In a message issued at 1.26 pm, the IMD sounded an orange warning for the district, including Bhubaneswar city.

Severe thunderstorm together with lightning, moderate to heavy rain and gusty surface wind is likely to occur at some places over the district in next two hours.
