Mumbai: Aryan Khan, who made his directorial debut with the Netflix show ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’, now wants to direct his father, superstar Shah Rukh Khan, in a movie.
After the massive success of his Netflix show, Aryan is currently working on a movie, Pinkvilla reported. After the completion of his theatrical release, Aryan will look forward to direct his dad.
“Aryan wants to deliver a theatrical success and prove himself as a filmmaker before taking on the challenge of directing his superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan,” a source close to the development was quoted as saying by Pinkvilla.
“His idea is to earn that opportunity through merit and let his work speak for itself. If all goes as planned, Aryan’s third directorial will feature SRK in the lead. The father-son duo has already locked the core idea, but the collaboration is expected to take shape only in 2027. For now, Aryan is focused on completing the script of his second feature, which will soon enter the casting stage,” the insider added.
‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ features Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa and Vijayant Kohli with Rajat Bedi and Gautami Kapoor in key roles.
The show revolves around Aasmaan Singh (played by Lakshya), an ambitious outsider, who discovers the chaotic, dark side of the glamourous industry while trying to carve a niche for himself.
