Cuttack: The offline ticket sales for the India vs South Africa T20 International at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack began on Wednesday (December 3) exclusively for institutions affiliated to the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA), district sports associations, and registered clubs.

Tickets were made available from Monday with online sales going live at 2 pm, a day after the OCA offered the first ticket for the upcoming T20 match on December 9 to Lord Jagannath, seeking blessings of the deity for the smooth conduct of the game.

According to sources, 73 affiliated organisations, along with a few other designated institutions, are part of the December 3 and 4 phase. Representatives from these bodies visited the OCA conference hall and collected their tickets after completing the necessary formalities.

Complimentary passes are also being distributed to them under this arrangement, the sources added.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has also bought tickets for the upcoming international cricket match. OCA president Pankaj Lochan Mohanty and Behera met the chief minister at his residence and handed over the tickets on November 30.

Counter Sale On Dec 5

Arrangements have been made for 42,000 tickets this year. Of these, 2,000 tickets were sold online, while 10,000 will be available offline, at six designated ticket counters at the Barabati stadium on December 5 from 9 am to 6 pm.

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free ticket purchasing experience, the OCA and Police have implemented new crowd-control measures at the Odisha Cricket Academy ground. Entry will be managed through zigzag barricades to form orderly queues. After clearing the barricades, fans will proceed to the ticket counters via dedicated passages lined with steel barricades. A separate exit gate has also been set up.
Each person can purchase a maximum of two tickets upon presentation of valid photo ID.
