Bhubaneswar: Some trains have been cancelled and short terminated for safety-related modernisation works in the Khurda Road Division, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) informed on Wednesday.
“It involved non-interlocking (NI) activities at Raj Athgarh station, in connection with the commissioning of the 3rd/4th line between Raj Athgarh and Joranda Road under Khurda Road Division. These measures are essential to ensure the safe and efficient execution of critical infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving reliability and passenger safety,” it further noted.
Trains cancelled
The following passenger trains will remain cancelled on specified dates in December:
• 68419 Bhubaneswar–Palasa MEMU will remain cancelled on December 9th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 29th and 30th.
• 68420 Palasa–Bhubaneswar MEMU will remain cancelled on December 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 29th, 30th and 31st.
The following trains will remain cancelled on December 11th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 26th, 29th and 30th:
• 18021 Kharagpur–Khurda Road Express
• 18022 Khurda Road–Kharagpur Express
• 68424 Cuttack–Bhadrak MEMU
• 68423 Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU
Short-Termination/Short-Origination
The following MEMU and passenger trains will be short-terminated or short-originated at intermediate stations on different dates:
• 58532 Visakhapatnam–Brahmapur Passenger will be short-terminated at Palasa on December 9th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 29th and 30th.
• 58531 Brahmapur–Visakhapatnam Passenger will be short-originated from Palasa on December 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 29th, 30th and 31st.
• 68445 Cuttack–Palasa MEMU will be short-terminated at Sompeta on December 9th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 29th and 30th.
• 68446 Palasa–Cuttack MEMU will be short-originated from Sompeta on December 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 29th, 30th and 31st.
• 68411/68412 Bhubaneswar–Brahmapur–Bhubaneswar MEMU will be short-terminated and short-originated at Balugaon on December 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 29th, 30th and 31st.
Re-Revised Train Route
02831 Dhanbad–Bhubaneswar Special will now run via Kotshila Junction – Muri Junction – Chandil – Sini – Rajkharsawan – Jaroli – Nayagarh – Jakhapura – Cuttack – Bhubaneswar from December 12 to 19.
02832 Bhubaneswar–Dhanbad Special will now run via Bhubaneswar – Cuttack – Jakhapura – Nayagarh – Jaroli – Rajkharsawan – Sini – Chandil – Muri Junction – Kotshila Junction from December 11 to 19.
22805 Bhubaneswar–Anand Vihar Terminal Superfast Express will now run via Bhubaneswar – Barang – Naraj Marthapur – Kapilas Road – Jajpur Keonjhar Road – Bhadrak – Hijli – Midnapore – Adra Junction – Bhojudih Junction – Khanodih – Gomoh Junction on December 13.
22806 Anand Vihar Terminal–Bhubaneswar Superfast Express will now run via Gomoh Junction – Khanodih – Bhojudih Junction – Adra Junction – Midnapore – Hijli – Bhadrak – Jajpur Keonjhar Road – Kapilas Road – Naraj Marthapur – Barang – Bhubaneswar on December 15.
Passengers are advised to take note of the re-revised route arrangements and verify the status of their trains before commencing their journey through official railway enquiry systems, websites, or helplines, it added.
