Bhubaneswar: In a significant move to boost transparency and efficiency, Director General of Police Y Br Khurania on Monday launched a new official website of the Odisha Police.
The bilingual website, launched at a special event at the state police headquarters, aims to enhance public service delivery, transparency and digital engagement with citizens.
Developed using modern digital tools and knowledge systems, the platform has been launched in both Odia and English to ensure wider accessibility for the public across the state. The DGP said the new website would serve as a comprehensive and user-friendly interface through which citizens can easily access important information and services offered by the police department.
Highlighting its utility, the DGP stated that the website would play a crucial role in strengthening communication between the Odisha Police and the general public in the coming days. Citizens will be able to obtain a wide range of police-related information through computers, laptops and mobile devices in a simple and convenient manner.
The website hosts multiple features, including online citizen services, police-related information, notices and press releases, recruitment updates, traffic and road safety awareness content, crime prevention advisories, legal provisions, public messages and other important information relevant to citizens.
The inauguration programme was attended by senior police officers.
