Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital is all set to host the fourth edition of the Odisha Mining and Infrastructure International Expo 2026 from January 8 to 11.

The four-day event, scheduled at the Baramunda ground here, will see participants from at least 10 countries, such as Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, and Chile. Around 300 companies are also expected to take part in the exhibition.

Organised by Futurex Trade Fair and Events Pvt Ltd, the expo is billed as India’s largest mining exhibition and an exclusive international B2B trade show for the global mining and allied industries. It will showcase cutting-edge innovations, machinery, equipment, and services while facilitating networking among industry leaders, innovators, startups, young professionals, and decision-makers from around the world.

The event also aims to solidify the state’s position as a global leader in mining, innovation, and sustainable industrial growth.

Chairman of Futurex Trade Fair and Events Swami Prem Anveshi said the mining sector will be driven by innovation, sustainability and forward-thinking policies. “Over the past three years, this expo has become a major catalyst for the future of mining in India and globally. Odisha is emerging as a top destination for investors, including FDI, with the state government approving multiple large-scale projects that are creating thousands of jobs. This edition will focus on sustainable technologies and spark discussions on policy, innovation, and future practices to align India’s mining sector with global standards,” he said.

The exhibition will showcase the latest advancements in mining technology, machinery, equipment and services, he added.

Former Chairman and Managing Director of NALCO and Chairman of the Expo Organizing Committee Tapan Kumar Chand added that the event will promote zero-net mining, position Odisha as a global centre for mining policy discussions, and empower local entrepreneurs and startups through international connections.

The inauguration on January 8 will be led by Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, with Minister for Law, Works & Excise Prithiviraj Harichandan as Guest of Honour.

On January 9, Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo will attend a special Women in Mining Awards ceremony. Steel & Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena will visit on January 10 to recognise excellence in technical and management education.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will preside over the valedictory ceremony on January 11, presenting awards for outstanding CEO contributions.
