New Delhi: Air India is looking for a new chief executive to replace Campbell Wilson as its CEO, according to a report published by Reuters citing sources familiar with the development.
Air India owner Tata Sons held discussions with top global aviation executives in its search for a new set of leaders for its airlines business, according to another exclusive report by The Economic Times.
The report further claims that group chairman N Chandrasekaran has discussed with chief executives of at least two leading UK- and US-based international carriers for replacing Wilson.
Wilson’s term is reportedly set to end in June 2027. Air India Express, the group’s low-cost carrier, is expected to see similar leadership changes, the ET report states, citing anonymous sources. According to the report, the term of Air India Express chief executive, Aloke Singh, too, will end in 2027. Last year, the airline made headlines for the wrong reasons after the fatal Ahmedabad crash that killed 260 people.
