Mumbai: The makers of ‘Bhooth Bangla’ on Tuesday unveiled a spooky motion poster of the Akshay Kumar starrer, and fans couldn’t help but get strong OG ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ vibes.
In the poster, Akshay can be seen sporting a dhoti, a rudraksha mala around his neck and holding another in his hand. Adding a touch of swag, he paired the traditional look with sunglasses while sitting on a throne, which features demonic faces.
The post was captioned: “Dus ko denge das-tak, intezar karo tab tak… Let the fun begin! #BhoothBangla in cinemas on 10th April 2026.”
Reacting to the poster and drawing comparisons with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, a fan commented, “Yeh ameeron ka Bhool Bhulaiyya lag raha hain (this looks like Bhool Bhulaiyaa of the rich).”
Another wrote, “so Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) coded.”

The psychological horror-comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, featuring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, Ameesha Patel, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Manoj Joshi, Asrani and Vikram Gokhale, was a remake of the 1993 Malayalam film ‘Manichitrathazhu’.
Now, Akshay and Priyadarshan are reuniting for ‘Bhooth Bangla’ after a gap of 16 years.
The film, a horror-comedy produced by Akshay, Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, features Akshay as the lead, alongside Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rajpal Yadav.
The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on April 10.
